The sewing and design course for girls within the project Learn4Life was a complete success. The girls participated in  weekly workshops with enthusiasm, ambition and creativity. They inspired each other with ideas, gained confidence in working with sewing machines, overcame frustration and proudly presented their beautifully designed pieces that will be a reminder of the shared experiences.

Children of the westcoast of Togo close Lomé to are happy about toys which were delivered via trailer from Kitzingen. The relief supplies are dedicated to support people to helm themselves. Tools and machines for carpentry were sent to create jobs and on-the-job training.

A cooperation of various pre-schools in Würzburg gives 125 kids the opportunity to enjoy sports and nature experiences. The weekly trip to the childrens´ farm offer all-around activities on the natural farm site: splash and create in the mud, meeting exactly the interests and skills of the children. They get to know the animals and learn how to take care of them. Climbing, sliding and balancing let the children experience their own strengths. Exploring and being active is even more fun in trusted company.

Children need a reliable place to relax and to create meaningful leisure activities with peers after school. The social group process is the center of the activities. Working parents are relieved to have a reliable after-school supervision where their children have a trusted and supportive contact person.

"We speak Basketball" was the theme of the Basketball Tournament held on October 10-12, 2008 in Bremerhaven. Two teams from Bremerhaven, Cologne, Hamburg and Lithuania in the age group of U12 and U14 had the chance to compete against each other. They also had the opportunity to get to know each other without cultural, religious and social boundaries.

The 5th european transplant and dialysis games will take place in Würzburg/ Germany August 31th - September 7th, 2008

One week of international get together, sports, exchange of information
and experiences as well as refreshing existing friendships and
establishing new ones.

The Dirk Nowitzki Stiftung supports the Volunteer-Program.

Eighty handicapped and non-handicapped children meet in six sports groups
once per week. The association helps them help themselves, gain
self-confidence, and learn teamwork through games and workouts
offered under the motto "integration is life
and learning together."

Currently, the association takes care of 96 underprivileged children and
teens (age 3-16 years) in Munich. They offer after-school lunch,
homework assistance, and leisure time facilities. Because most of
them come from very difficult family relations, the organisation
provides intensive personal care and educational help. Their purpose
is to strengthen the children and to enable them to master their
own lives in a positive way.

The Wings for Handicapped project invites handicapped and seriously ill children to take a journey with the "Hoppetosse", a sleek rubber dinghy
with an outboard motor. As they make the apparently impossible
possible for these children, the children learn by experience that
they can overcome limitations. This encourages them and strengthens
their self-esteem-and results in a lot of fun!

"Integration through sports and music" is the motto of the Hamburg crossover
project. Marvin Willoughby, Samy Deluxe and Julia von Dohnanyi head
up this initiative. They want to help overcome fears and borders
between children from different parts of town and social backgrounds.
Marvin Willoughby plays basketball with three 8th grade classes from
three different parts of Hamburg. Through team sports the children
get to know and respect each other.
