Workcamp in Namibia
The boarding school in Döbra, close to the Namibian capital of Windhoek, facilitates 420 children annually and provides them with education and prevocational workshops. The Bavarian sporting youth organizes a workcamp which has development cooperation through sports as its focus. "Work together – learn from each other" is the motto. Ten young people from Bavaria live for a limited period of time in the school community to realize projects in cooperation, such as refurbishing the ailing sports facilities.
The young Namibians grow up to be sporting multipliers who carry their exeperience everlastingly into society. The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation covered the costs for new sports equipment.
